My How They Grow
It seems like yesterday that I had two in diapers. I was constantly changing dirty diapers or breastfeeding every few hours. It was very hard to get anything else done. Now, I find myself moving into a new season, faster than I realized.
My husband and I recently converted the baby's room into a little girl's room. Now my two-and-a half-year-old son shares a room with his older brother and my daughter has her own pink room.
In the process of cleaning out the room and getting it ready to be painted, I had to break down the crib and I came across some baby items. For a moment, I was sad because I realized that because of medical complications, we would not be having anymore children, and that the baby era of our lives was coming to a close. Somehow I didn't realize that it would go so fast.
I thought about how quickly this season had passed, how the time has flown, and how much they have grown. Then I realized, that although this chapter in my life is coming to an end, now we have exciting new chapters to visit and discover with each of our three children.
I once heard someone say that they never dread their kids getting older, because every phase of life that they go through is exciting...it's a new chapter that you get to share with them and watch them grow.
