Bathroom Renovations
After much deliberation and a little arguing we finally decided on a beautiful color - butter cream yellow. I was so excited. The bathroom was finally getting a much needed makeover. When my husband began painting the bathroom, I noticed the color did not look quite the same as I had remembered it in the store. However, since I no longer had the paint chip to compare it to, I just had to trust that this was the color we had selected. Erich noticed my lack of enthusiasm so he reassured me that once the paint dried the true color would be revealed. The next day when the paint color still looked unfamiliar I became concerned. So, I asked Erich, "Are you sure that you took the right paint chip into the store?" He hesitantly confessed that when he had stopped by the store to purchase the paint he realized that he had forgotten the paint chip. "So, I thought I would just 'eyeball' it instead," Erich said. Oh my!
Although the color was not what I had requested I did appreciate his hard work. I tolerated the light sherbet orange color for a year or two and then requested another makeover. This time I taped the paint chip to the wall so there would be no confusion.
