Soft Spring
Soft Spring
(Written February 1984)
The Master Artist paints in pastels,
the colors of spring.
Chirping birds announce the season
as they sing.
Children laugh and play
concerned about nothing.
High above cotton-clouds, kites soar
on invisible strings.
The sun spreads over the sky,
softly shimmering.
On the ends of stems,
buds are blooming.
Love is light, like
feathers on wings.
Warmth and joy are the
winds of soft spring.
