The Lantern of Hope
I walk through the valley of your tears
Through the misty corridors of your fears
I wander down the road of your sorrows
Where you feel there's no hope for tomorrow.
I roam the paths of your mind
I see all that you've left behind.
I feel your grief and I feel your pain
For what you think you cannot regain.
I want you to know I've bottled your tears
I want you to know I'll take all your fears.
I want you to know there is nothing your feeling
That I cannot and will not bring your healing.
I lay all your fears, grief and pain
At the foot of the cross, please let it remain.
I give you my Word, I give you my name
I give you my love and I take all your shame.
I hold high the lantern of light,
The lantern of hope shining so bright.
Follow my tear drops, follow my blood drops
They will lead to the place where all fear stops.
This lantern of hope will lead you home
And know that I will never leave you alone.
My nail scarred hands reach out to you
Will you take this lantern and do what I do?
Will you seek out the lost and those in pain?
Will you help them find true hope again?
Will you say "Hear I am Lord, send me"
Will you go and be what I want you to be?
