Cheddar BiscuitsIngredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
- 8 tbsp. butter
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar
- 2/3 cup of milk
Preparation:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl mix all dry ingredients together. Cut butter into small pieces and kneed into dry mixture. Stir in cheese. Make a well in the center of flour mixture, add milk and slowly fold into dry mix with a fork. Knead 10 to 12 minutes. Roll out dough to approx. ½ inch thick. Flour cutter and cut 2 inch diameter circles. Butter baking sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes. Delicious!
