Gatekeeper of a HeartGatekeeper of a Heart
Throbbing, reaching, weeping, loving
I have wrapped you gently with brightly colored, intricately woven
cloths of silk
layer upon layer
cushioning; veiling your beauty, your subtleties, your myriad of ecstasies
You do not feel the casual, impermeable canvas concealing your tenderness
You must never understand how well you are
guarded
The understanding of dangers would cartilaginize you
unsuspected, irrevocable
Your eyes sparkle with delight as you see each new heart approach
Pure light guarded by black wrapping
Ecstasy as a fragment is lifted
You bathe your fingers in its exploring stream of light
Ultimate beauty - a spectacular color
created only through This prism of unique experiences and perspectives
You will never believe there is no light
I feel the blackness of the wrapping
I add another layer of canvas
Strange pain as you struggle to permeate your wrappings
to embrace the fading light
deliberately covered, refusing your touch.
I see.
And still you reach.
