Nags Head Recipes:Best Ever-Clam ChowderA favorite recipe from Nags Head, North Carolina!
Ingredients:
- 6 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tsp. anchovy paste (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. dried thyme
- 46 oz. canned clam juice
- 1 1/2 bags frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed or unthawed
- 51-oz. canned chopped clams
- Oyster crackers
Directions:
- Add anchovy paste, clam juice and potatoes.
- Cook until potatoes are tender.
- Serve with oyster cracker.
