Sour Cream Pear Pie



I was given this recipe by my dear friend Ann Hayes. I hope you enjoy this delicious treat, especially perfect for the fall!myFriendDebbie.com - Sour Cream Pear Pie

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups peeled, diced ripe pears (I did not peel mine)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 Tbls spoon flour
  • 1-cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Dash salt
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

Crumb topping

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1/3-cup flour
  • ¼ cup butter, softened

Directions:

  1. Combine pears, sugar, egg, flour, sour cream, vanilla and salt. Blend gently. 
  2. Spoon into unbaked pie shell.
  3. Bake @ 350 degrees for 25 min. 
  4. Combine all of the topping ingredients until well-mixed. 
  5. Sprinkle on top of pie, return to oven for 30 minutes more.
